Commercial/Ag Loan Officer II

MidAmerica National Bank, a $575M bank headquartered in Canton, IL has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic professional to join our commercial/ag lending staff in our Canton, Illinois Banking Center. We are currently accepting resumes for a Commercial/Ag Loan Officer II to be responsible for administering an existing loan portfolio while developing and establishing new relationships with prospective customers. This individual will have proven commercial/ag loan portfolio management and business development skills.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain existing customer relationships
• Seek and build new commercial and ag relationships
• Evaluate customer credit data and financial statements
• Negotiate terms under which credit will be extended and approve credit up to personal authorization level
• Monitor loan repayment activities and take necessary action to collect past-due accounts.
• Participate in community activities to enhance business opportunities
• Adhere to MidAmerica National Bank's lending policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal regulations

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Three to five years of increasingly responsible job-related experience in order to become familiar with all loan functions, bank requirements and legal/regulatory requirements
• Finance degree preferred
• High level of communication/interpersonal skills
• The analytical ability necessary to conduct a preliminary analysis of an applicant's financial posture and recommend alternatives in situations when necessary
• Goal oriented with the ability to focus on a goal and obtain a pre-determined result
• Sales ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of a product, service, or idea
• A thorough understanding of the requirements and features of the loan program offered by the bank to provide related information to applicants
