MidAmerica National Bank, a locally owned financial institution in central Illinois, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join our Risk Management Department as a full-time Compliance Assistant in Canton, IL. Established in 1933, MidAmerica National Bank provides financial services to local communities through our branches located in Fulton, McDonough, and Marshall counties. We are currently accepting applications/resumes for a Compliance Assistant. This position is responsible for assisting with the compliance coordinators' activities regarding all lending and non-lending regulatory compliance. This primarily involves gathering data to monitor both customer and bank staff activity and preparing reports.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Compliance Coordinator and the Risk Management Officer as they maintain the compliance management system, bank policies and procedures, and regulatory compliance examinations.
• Support the Compliance Coordinators as they manage the bank's compliance data and online compliance training program.
• Assist the Compliance Coordinators with gathering information requested by external auditors and examiners.
• Assist the Compliance Coordinators with periodic testing and self-audits.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree required.
• Up to one year of increasingly responsible clerical experience preferred, to provide clerical support functions, assistance with delegated administrative duties, and the background to exercise independent judgment.
• Basic knowledge of business computer software applications.
• Accuracy, confidentiality, tactful and organized.
