Lending Compliance Assistant

MidAmerica National Bank, a locally owned financial institution in central Illinois, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join our Risk Management Department as a full-time Lending Compliance Assistant in Canton, IL. Established in 1933, MidAmerica National Bank provides financial services to local communities through our branches located in Fulton, McDonough, and Marshall counties. • Support compliance with federal regulations such as TILA, RESPA, HMDA, and flood insurance by conducting audits, reviews, and risk assessments.
• Develop and revise internal lending policies, procedures, forms, and marketing materials to ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
• Deliver ongoing compliance training and updates to lending staff; communicate complex regulatory requirements in a clear, accessible manner.
• Perform regular testing and self-audits with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to proactively identify and resolve compliance issues.
• Respond to internal compliance questions and provide research-based guidance to ensure informed decision-making across departments.

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or related field-or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in the financial industry with a focus on lending compliance.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and business software.
